The Mumbai Indians have announced the appointment of South African legend and record-holder wicket-keeper Mark Boucher as their Head Coach, effective with the IPL 2023 season.

The 45-year-old replaces former Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardene, who has been elevated to the role of global head of performance by the franchise.
Boucher who was the head coach of the south Africa men’s national team has step down from the role after the t20 world cup 2022.
Mark Boucher has a long and distinguished career as a wicket-keeper, batsman and holds the record for the most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper. Following his retirement, he became the coach of the Titans, a top-level cricket franchise in South Africa, and led them to five domestic titles. Mark Boucher was appointed head coach of Cricket South Africa in 2019 after winning 11 Tests, 12 ODIs, and 23 T20Is.
