The first auction prior to the WIPL has five price ranges ranging from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh. The registration deadline for the auction is January 26. The reserve values that a female cricketer can choose are detailed in the “guide notes” for the auction registration system that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has implemented (BCCI). Uncapped cricketers have two options, whereas capped players—those who have represented India or are currently on a central contract—have three options: Rs. 30 lakh, Rs. 40 lakh, or Rs. 50 lakh (Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh).

The BCCI and India’s female cricketers are up for a HUGE-WINDFALL in 2023. Meanwhile, BCCI/IPL officials have stated that the sale of teams will be completed by the end of January, giving the new franchises at least one month before the start of the WIPL.
The Indian Premier League teams, as expected, will be the frontrunners to own the Women Indian Premier League (WIPL) teams. At this point, not one, but eight IPL teams have chosen to own and operate the WIPL franchise. Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings will all bid for WIPL teams.
The remaining two teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore and the RPSG-owned Lucknow Super Giants, are expected to compete as well. The competition will not stop there. The WIPL Franchise is subject to a BUMPER interest.
According to BCCI sources, 15 companies have chosen the Tender Document so far.
