WPL 2023 AUCTION LIST:ย 409 players will go under the hammer in the inaugural Womenโs Premier League WPL 2023 auction in Mumbai on February 13, the BCCI confirmed on Tuesday (February 7). 246 of the 409 players are Indians, while the remaining 163 are from other countries.
In total, 1525 players had registered for the WPL auction and that astronomical number was cut down to 409. A maximum of 90 slots are available to be filled, with 30 of those belonging to overseas players. In the final list, 199 players are uncapped and 8 are from associate nations.

The highest reserve price is INR 50 lakh, a bracket that sees 24 players present in it including Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning and Deandra Dottin are some of the overseas names present in that top bracket.

30 players are present in the next category, that has a base price of INR 40 lakh. As revealed by Cricbuzz earlier, the tournament will kickstart on March 4 with the final slated to be held on March 26. The 22-game tournament will be entirely played in Mumbai, in two venues.
